Trust in Training Together


Partnering with your loved one for a workout can be a great way to spend quality time doing something healthy. However, sometimes it can feel uncomfortable if you and your partner are at a varying levels of fitness. Then what do you do?

Here are three tips for building trust in training together.

1. Create a Safe Environment

Find a location that both people feel comfortable. Make sure that the exercise selection is appropriate and modifications can be made as needed. Allow for flexibility in repetitions so all exercises can be completed with proper form.

2. Make it Fun

Create the workout together and choose a variety of exercises and equipment that interest both partners.

3. Trust Your Partner

Trust that your partner is there to motivate and not to judge. Embrace one another's suggestions and feedback when it comes to performing an exercise. Remember to encourage and keep an open mind for trying something new.
